The BBC and ITV

The BBC

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is a public broadcaster in the UK and one of the largest broadcasting organisation in the world. The BBC is funded by the TV licence fee that is paid by UK households and business that have televisions.

These are some of the examples of BBC TV programs that i personally watch;

Doctor who -8:30

In the flesh -9pm
Family Guy -11pm+
American Dad -12+

BBC Three is a mixed genre channel for young audiences.
They have two key priorities:
  • The channel needs to be disciplined about focusing on the young - its centre of gravity will be 16-34 year-olds: people who are young in spirit and mind set.
  •
  • BBC Three should provide an environment for the development of new ideas and talent and for existing talent to take risks, becoming a genuine laboratory for BBC One and BBC Two.

TV licence

The cost of the TV licence in the UK is £145.50 a year for colour. Everyone in the UK who watches or records BBC programs would of had to pay the licence fee. You can watch it on a tablet, phone, iplayer and television.
